Farmers & Merchants Bank

Farmers & Merchants Bank.png

In 1903, in the small rural town of Boswell, Indiana, a group of fifteen farmers and leaders got together with the purpose to form a bank that was based on a few core principles including:

  • Honest Answers
  • Genuine Compassion
  • A Family Environment
  • Dependable People
  • Accurate Service

Today, our Farmers & Merchants family supports our communities through not only monetary donations but countless volunteer efforts. Many times our team members not only serve on committees but take leadership roles to help enact change. We are active in the communities we serve and are passionate about our team members and our customers.

We remain a locally owned and operated bank. This unique feature allows us to make loan decisions right here. That’s right – loan decisions are made quickly by us – not a suit in a boardroom. This means money stays in the community, and you will deal with our friendly staff, not with someone you don’t know.

Relationships mean everything to us. We focus on community, local business, and most of all, you.
